Blake Hampton, MD

Blake M. Hampton, MD, is originally from South Florida, where he graduated as valedictorian of his high school. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in neurobiology with a minor in chemistry from the University of Miami, graduating magna cum laude. He received a full tuition academic scholarship to attend medical school at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He finished his internship year in internal medicine at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He then relocated to New York to complete his residency in ophthalmology at Nassau University Medical Center, where he served as chief resident during his last year of training. Dr. Hampton is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Refractive and Cataract Surgeons, and the Refractive Surgery Alliance. Dr. Hampton practices comprehensive ophthalmology with a particular interest in refractive cataract surgery. He serves as the executive director of ophthalmology at FirstHx, a digital health company focused on improving patient intake. He is also a consultant to Frontier Care Organization, whose mission is to provide cataract surgery and other ophthalmic care to patients in the United States with limited access to surgeons. Dr. Hampton lives in North Carolina with his wife and daughter. In his free time, he enjoys nature trails, playing classical piano, watching TV series and movies, traveling and spending time with his family and friends.
