LA JOLLA, Calif. — Krysten Williams has been named Head of Digital Solutions & Clinical Development – EMEA at Topcon Healthcare. In this role, Krysten will lead the expansion of the company’s digital innovation strategy across Europe. She will guide the development of new solutions that support the company’s Healthcare from the Eye initiative, a connected care model that uses ocular imaging and artificial intelligence (AI), powered ocular imaging or functional data to detect and manage both ocular and systemic diseases.

Past Experience
Krysten joins Topcon Healthcare from Heidelberg Engineering, where she held multiple senior leadership roles, including Head of Global Marketing and Education, Head of Product Management and Clinical Affairs and Managing Director of Heidelberg Engineering Ltd. Her career has focused on empowering eye care professionals to improve patient care by delivering digital health care solutions in retail practice, clinic and scientific research.
New Role
At Topcon Healthcare, Williams will create a team based in Europe to work closely with key members of the EMEA region. One of her goals is to drive the innovation efforts across the digital solutions portfolio, with a focus on developing and scaling clinically meaningful tools that integrate imaging, data and AI. She will also play a key role in strengthening collaboration between Topcon’s technology, clinical and commercial teams, as well as with external partners and health care systems.
